I am planning a small tailoring setup in Hyderabad and my budget is around ₹15,000–₹25,000. I mainly expect to work with everyday cotton garments, blouses and alterations, so I don't know whether I need a basic machine or something more advanced.

With cotton garments, blouses and alterations as your main work, Sanjay, you don't need the machine with the most stitch settings — you need one that's dependable and easy to get serviced near you in Hyderabad. It's easy to get talked into paying extra for features built for garments you'll probably never make. Think about the machine in terms of what you'll actually be stitching every day, not the spec sheet. If the shop lets you, test it on the real fabrics you'll be working with before you buy. That tells you far more than any brochure will.
