But here's the honest part: fashion designing courses assume your hands can already execute what your head designs. If your stitching is still basic, that gap will show up in every piece you try to make, no matter how good the design looks on paper. So strengthen your tailoring first. It isn't a detour from your goal — it's what makes the designing actually usable later instead of staying on paper. Once construction feels natural to you, move to designing. You'll get far more out of it at that point.
